Founded in 2001, the College of International Affairs aims at developing the talents necessary for dealing with matters related to diplomacy, national defense, cross-strait affairs, and international relations. The College likewise educates researchers and practitioners in the fields of international relations and China studies, and conducts commissioned studies on the government or public organizations, while also providing consulting services.
The College currently consists of the Department of Diplomacy (which offers undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees), the Graduate Institute of East Asian Studies (offering master's and doctoral degrees), the Graduate Institute of Russian Studies (offering master's degree), Master Program in Japan Studies and International Master¡¦s Program in International Studies (will be established in 2011). To provide peoples, who are interested in public affairs, with a chance for further studies in the field of strategy and world affairs, the college also has two mid-career MA programs: Master's Program in Strategy and International Affairs and Master's Program in National Security and Mainland China Studies.
